Considered the SE P910 during my short Treo hunt

After looking for a Treo 650, I actually considered a Sony Ericsson P910 device that can be found online now for $450 after a $100 rebate. It looks like a nice smartphone device and I like the side scroll wheel, but the keyboard looks a bit awkward and there isn't much of a community for it online.

I was close to jumping the gun on this one too, but instead I will take the money that I recently received from selling some software and use it to buy my wife a good birthday gift and help offset some of the costs of my daughter's sports activities. I may also save a bit and buy myself a PSP game when one that looks worth it is released.

I am going to stick with the Nokia 7610, my T3, and Dell X50v for now.

  • I am looking at your postings and kind of laughing to myself because I am in some ways going thru a similar search right now.

I too considered the SE at one point, but besides the keyboard and MS-slot, I didnt really think the OS was intuitive enuogh. I guess you can say that I was spolied by Palm in that fashion.

Its good though that you decided to bless your wife with the funds instead. That will pay off better dividends than the Treo/SE since you already are mobile-equipped.

  • I own a P910i and I'm very glad that I purchased it. I agree with antoine that the OS is not intuitive. I think SE will improve it later on.. Anyway, this is my first smart phone, and I have never used a palm before. So far I found that the unit is very useful.
